Got to track tonight along with Orr89rocz TT badasz.. Getting it dialed back in, ran 9.85, 9.77, 9.73 then called it a day.. Much hotter than I would like - around 84°.. 60ft were suffering a little, but still got a 1.49, then a 1.47 leaving at 5700 with only 11psi, which nets me best results on our unsticky track..

AFR is a very safe 10.5 steady in 4th gear and still running 28° timing.. Wanted to lean on it some, but the NOS jets I just bought from EBAY are visibly sized wrong - Have some follow up to do there. Next time out will lan out some, then build some timing.. But for 28° and very rich on a hot day things going well..


Good to see Orr out there doing some shakedown runs of the TT..

 

Not bad times... I approve and I'd take those times in 200 degree weather lol.

It was reallly hot out. I got to see one or 2 of your passes. Heard the other two lol announcer kept saying your name and times.

Fun to get out there regardless. Lots of issues on my end but i got a feeling with more gear and converter it is gonna wake up to a new level.

If i aint mistaken i think he leaves all motor and sprays 20-25 mph out? Or are you now hitting it off the line?

Thanks, hard to be excited until I break records.. But being all things considered it went well.. I feel there is still lots left in the tune, just being slow with it.. Also having disengagment issues, just bought Tick mastercylinder and new slave as my set up has 120k on it..

Justin - I use the NOS controller now, it sprays with a 2 second delay at 75% capacity.
You had some new combo issues for sure, but the fun is just starting.. Just have it ready for us to make a Maryland trip - long as my trans holds together..

 

I gotta get legal belts for that and keep it out the 9's. They bitched last time. I need truck and trailer too haha. If not ready i will take the trans am down

 

Just get the belts man, less that 100 dollars.. Or I have probably 3 sets if you figure out how to fix the date to be updated..

 

I will get some belts. Been meaning to anyway. Prp actually told me i couldnt run 10's last night with them and they never questioned it before. I guess they are cracking down

Getting Vega dialed in too, It had been out 4 days now and has gone 9.0 on almost every pass while in the heat and mid 3000 D/A's, so I hope once things cool down I will hit some 8.8s or so.. The glide made that car so much more driveable.

You should go tomorrow for the box/no box race - I know you will not be consistant yet, but you will get atleast 3 passes to dial it in some.. I will be taking Vega - Looking to be a cool dry day so far.. Well see what happens.
