What should it run?
I don't really care about these theoretical questions but my interest has been peaked. I built a motor for my S10 and never got around to making it to the track, now it's going in my brother's car and he asked me what I thought it would do in his car; my estimate is a 12.8 @ 106ish on motor and a solid 11.5@115-118 on 100 shot but I told him I didn't have a clue as to what it should run. Anybody else care to take a guess? It's going to the track on the 19th and I am very curious.
1990 Camaro RS (full interior + 200lb driver).
350 with vortec heads, 9.5:1, 1.5 roller rockers, XR276HR cam (224/230 .502"/.510" roller cam), 600cfm holley 4160 carb, RPM air gap manifold, shorty headers (1 5/8 primaries 2.5" collectors) to an offroad y-pipe. Motor is set up for a 100 shot although he has no intention of spraying it this year. I figure it's about 390hp/405ft lbs at the crank.
700R4 with a 2,400-2,800 advertised stall, 10 bolt with 3.73's(new auburn posi) and 26.5"x9.5" drag radials.
Racing it at Island Dragway in Great Meadows, NJ.

Re: What should it run?
you're probably pretty close on your guess honestly.
that thing with a 3500 stall, longtubes and proper exhaust, and a 650 double pumper would go 11's on motor probably, or really dang close.

Re: What should it run?
I'd love to set it up like that for him but he isn't going to race it much. It was hard enough to convince him to get it to the track. He wants to do suspension next and lower it. He just wants to play with it on the road and drive it to collect money from his clients. Him going to the track is really just closure for me lol. I was banking on close to 10 second passes with the bottle and a 2,900lb race weight.

Re: What should it run?
while I have seen the vortec headed 355's run pretty good. Given the things that will hold it back plus being its first outing. I am going to guess 13.4 @103
