I have Drag Week on my bucket list. But, with Pro Mod cars now being set up to make the required trip, I'm afraid it's going to be a victim of its own success by the time I get things together to try it myself.

Re: Hot rod Drag week

I'm participating in it this year. I had some problems until yesterday with my intake hose collapsing, got it fixed now and hoping for a good hit in Memphis today. Ran 11.54@121.2 in Indy yesterday.

I'm tired, but this thing event is AWESOME! I'm hooked.

Unstable, are you running in the DD class? I'm going to give it a shot next year when I get back to the states.

Re: Hot rod Drag week

Nope, street race SB/NA. Honestly.. Daily Driver has some great cars, but waiting until 10am to run every day and having the track in poor shape doesn't appeal much to me. I love getting out there early with great track prep and having time to get more runs if there is a problem. There's a LOT of street driving between tracks and the sooner you can get rolling the bettter. I still stay and watch but hitting the road before noon is sure nice.

Re: Hot rod Drag week

i know the real fast guys in SB/NA are in the single digit range pretty good now (didn't someone go 8.9x last year?) but what is the average for the class? and how are you placed at the moment?

Man we've been so stupid busy social media duties is tough. Ran an 11.49@120.8 in the heat today, one and done. Hit the road at 1030am, rolled into BG 7 hours later. Tomorrow the weather is gonna be awesome and I'm going for broke.

Got pulled over by the cops today too, 40mph in a 20mph school zone. Let go with a warning, I thought I was gettin my first ticket since 1999!
