Trailer Winch - recommendations?

Since we don't have a general discussion forum and many use trailers to transport their cars, this seems like the most logical place to post this.

I need to replace the manual winch on our trailer. What we have now is a smaller, boat style winch. It has served us well (on trailer when we got it several years ago) but the cable finally snapped on me this weekend. The cheap fix is to simply replace the cable but exploring the option of upgrading to a stronger (and easier) electric winch. Just curious if anyone has any suggestions.

I have a cheapie 1500lb winch that I bolt to the front of my trailer.
I used a pulley and pulled it up no problem(but it was slow).

Then I tried without the pulley and it worked too but even slower!

Save your money and get something bigger. I had a harbor freight atv type winch with a ****** block. Went slow and barely got the car up onto the trailer. Then I got a 8500 superwinch and it works great.
