thrash and get your stuff back together and excited to see what it does and this is what you get. it SUCKS. try again in another two weeks

 

well got a break from the rain and got to go run my car. ran good except one running hot issue. but after my last pass i broke a spring or something on the passenger front cause it was sittin all the way down and i couldn compress the shock or make it rebound. i dont know what thats about but maybe i can get it apart in the morning. but for the good part the car went a best of 11.44. car still has some left. timing is only set around 31-32. i had a miss at 5600 so i shifted at 5500 and whenever i get the miss fix will shift at 6k. the carb has not be tuned in for that car and i am still running 3.42 rear gear. oh yea and south ms air in july is terrible. so all in all it was a good night. if you dont create problems you can fix em!

 

car is running strong. interested in what you find on the front suspension. that's crazy....i've never heard of a spring that broke...well....at least not without being torched to lower it first.

 

yea when i got back to the trailer and got out it just looked like the passenger front tire was flat!!!! i could push down on the car none or pick it up. it was stiff as a rock. and another thing i forgot i need to ad to the car is a rear sway bar. i did create a cage issue tho being it was built to be low 12s high 11s i didn expect to need a cage. and i feel like with some gear and tuning i could possibly see 11.00s out of it. what you think?

 

do you guys think my 60' is slow because of gear? and my problem is a busted strut. it had stock struts on it. i guess i am goin to order a set of lakewood 90\10s. any suggestions on struts and how to get my 60 down? i was only leaving the line around 2800.

 

Well finally made it back out. I kept the car in the 11.60 range to keep from goin under11.49 and gettin a cage warning. New struts felt great. Car did good except a bad radiator cap causing some issues. The biggest problem is tryin to learn the tree. I was leaving as soon as the third yellow came on and kept goin red. All but one was .450 range then two real late passes. I just need more seat time and figure out how to sit longer I guess.

 

shallow stage, or go to a taller front tire. make the car work for you, not the other way around. you will have more consistent lights leaving at the first flash of yellow.

 

Yea I was just barely cuttin the stage light on. I will check on taller tires
