Powerglide and shifter linkage

I am putting a glide in my GTA
I am noticing that the shifter lever out of the trans will be in the way (will hit the headers)

When I had my th350, I just "reversed" the linkage, meaning it was above the pan, rather than below the pan.

Did anyone else have this problem too?
Any suggestions?

Re: Powerglide and shifter linkage

I have a T350 and Hooker Supercomp headers, shift lever faces down and no interference.

Re: Powerglide and shifter linkage

I wish I had some pics from my 88 GTA with SBC, Glide and lemons headers 2" primes w/ 3.5" collectors. I didnt have any issues with this setup and it was very tight underneath there. I cooked the cable once but that was just because it wasnt bolted up. I still have my hurst 1/4 stick around if you want it shoot me a message, ill let it go for cheap.
