Front coilover sleeve kits on stock style struts??
Front coilover sleeve kits on stock style struts??
I've got a kit on my set of Lakewood struts but they are well worn as I got the sleeves used. I'm looking at a front rebuild and I wanted some nice sleeves and adjusters along with the spring cap. I'll be replacing the springs also as they like everything else are well worn.
I saw this Youtube video and it links the QA1 ***-103 kit, anyone used this on factory style struts? aside from this video I haven't found any other info on if it works on 3rd gens.

Spohn's coilover kit and most others for this platform use this method. Its not really ideal as ths strut has to rotate and they use a torrington bearing stack under the spring to help reduce bind.

My car is a drag bracket car and it's had the coilovers for a while. My setup now is like Spohns it's actually an AJE that came with the used K member I bought. It has plates that support the springs under the caster camber plates so all of the weight is on the inner fender which on my car has bars to the frame and cage. I'm wanting to go back to my Founders CC plates and use the cone on the spring like the kit I linked.
