looking at possibly transferring home to oregon, couple questions...
heres the deal:
I grew up in Oregon, and have lived in Vegas for almost 10 years, and am looking at transferring home to Salem with my job early next year.
what is gonna happen to me when I bring my '88 up and try to register it, in regards to the DMV??? do they have an inspection, and what do they look for in the inspection??
I realize that Portland has smog, but Salem doesnt, which is why even thought I may end up working in Tigard, I'll still live in Salem, among other reasons.

I said I wasn't going to post in this forum, but I will help out a future Oregonian. When I have done registration, there was not even a car inspection. Transfering from out of state *MAY* be diffrent though, usualy all you need to do, is go to DMV and drop off your $54 and pick up your new stickers. The last 2 times I have re-registered my car, I have done it through the mail, mail a check, and my stickers come back in the mail. If you are out of the Portland Metro area, then it is REALLLY easy to register.
