Well I was on here a few years ago but didn't post much. I actually moved back into the PNW a few months ago which means that I can finally start restoring my IROC-Z. I lived in Oregon where I grew up and in highschool, bought a '88 Sport Coupe with the 2.8 MPFI and BW T-5 as my first car. After I graduated, I found a '88 IROC-Z for $500 with the 350TPI, 700R4 and BW 9-bolt 2.77 posi. Well I ended up moving to Wyoming about 3 years ago to continue my schooling since I had already gotten my AA in automotive tech and it ended there.... Needless to say, I ended up working in a GM bodyshop before I moved back to Washington. So since both my Camaros have been sitting on my parent's property, I decided that its time to rebuild my IROC. Not too long after I bought it, the front pump on the tranny siezed and so I started pulling the engine apart to rebuild it aaaaaaand thats as far as I got. Now I have a feeling that it has the 1LE package in it since at the bottom of the build sheet I got from GM, it has "Special Perfomance upgrade package" and has a price. Also, I was working on getting the brakes redone and the rotors and calipers I got for it didn't fit my IROC, but fit an old friend of mine's IROC of the same year and such. They were too small, period, no matter how I fit them. RPO codes show it had a radio delete too.... Anyways, here are a couple pics of them both as they sit. I've been getting new parts from GM stocks for the IROC more recently on ebay and from old connections at the GM dealership I worked at in Wyoming...

Another reason they got pushed to the backburner is because I've been working on modifying older Subarus.... This is my current set of wheels... '87 Subaru GL coupe. Was originally a FWD automatic but I swapped it to an AWD 5-speed, locking center diff and a dual range tranny, rear LSD, 5x100mm lug pattern conversion, upgraded suspension and brakes from a WRX. Still working on putting a JDM 2.0l WRX engine in there in about 6 months...

Anyways, I'm glad to be back in the area and hopefully I can get my IROC back on the road where she belongs!
