CTW wheels
I received my set of Black CTW Motorsports wheels today for my race car. If anybody in the Portland area would like to come by and take a look you are more than welcome in case you were thinking of buying a set. It is nice to look before you buy.
Shop is at 4040 SW Macadam Ave, Portland. Happy to discuss with fellow third gen owners.

Re: CTW wheels
Didn't realize you were in the Portland area. I'll have to swing by sometime, I live in the Beaverton area. I assume you track the car at PIR? I work for the drag strip.

Re: CTW wheels
A custom creation of scrap aluminum I had laying around the shop. I had a the typical Z cowl induction hood and it was to tall for some to see while riving so I made one that was shorter and a bit wider to cover up some flaws. I needed something to give the middle some rigidity, hood is just the outer skin,
.Its made from 3 out pieces and 2 inner pieces for structure.
Its more function than form.

Re: CTW wheels
I haven't posted in a long time. My bad. I wanted to post an update on my CTW wheels. I was at a Endurance 2 weeks ago at a track called The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton Washington. I had a little side by side contact with a BMW with long wheel studs.
The long wheel studs caught the lip of my right rear wheel and I was unaware of the actual damage until I came in for a driver change and fuel.
I am grateful the CTW Motorsports wheel is robust and was able to handle the abuse without failing and also the sidewall of the BFG's held up. The track has some very fast left hand turns and was fortunate the wheel didn't fracture even more or lose the tire altogether. I raced another 50 mins or so on the wheel so anything could have happened. I did swap it out to a spare after seeing the damage.
I did contact Paul and thank him and even sent the wheel back to him so he could inspect it.
Thought you guys might want to see it also.
