Low enough

I finally got the ***** and got a set of lowering springs... here is what they did to
the car...

Hehehe, low enough, baby?

Oh, and this is what it does to the oil pan when you try and drive it...

And this is what happens when to are dumb and try and drive it with the oil thing underneath...

Actually, this was my adventures in oil change. The low enough pics are from when I jacked my car up on the driver side front... putting all the car on the passenger side rear, which made it that low. The oil pan was already damamged like that (DOH!) and the oil container really did get stuck underneath my car...

BTW, anyone know what happens when you put in a little too much oil?

Blown rear main seal is a good possibility. Increase "windage" another. How much "overfill" are you talking? 1/2 quart will do nothing. 1 quart is a threshold. 2 quarts, drain it.

I am talking the oil dip stick was at the VERY bottom of the operating range... so I added a half a quart and that put it at about the middle of the operating range... so I addded the rest, and it put it wayyy up there on the dip stick. It was a total of 5 quarts, but that included a filter change, so I lost more then the normal 4 quarts you add... I also bumped the engine over a few times to force a little more of the oil out, so I think it is like about 1/2 quart over.

I will lower the Bird once I get the 17 inch rims and other stuff to match the lowering. Probably Bel Tech drop spindles and their rear lowering springs and then a nice hard set of stock height springs.
