Camaro Time

Well Fellow Crew, I pulled the engine and tranny out of my Camaro last Saturday and am now beginning to tear the engine apart (Removed the tranny last night) and will start doing the things I need to the camaro as well. Gunna push it outside today (Maybe) so I can clean up my garage and get the room I need to do the things I need. I picked up a 1969 Honda CB750 Turbocharged Motorcycle the other day and am gunna fix it so it runs then sell it to finance my camaro. I'm swapping in a T-5 and have almost all the things I need. The only parts left I need to get are the Clutch Fork, Master and Slave clutch cylinder setup, flywheel, and the pedal assembly. probably about 400 more bucks on that. THen my engine is getting cleaned nice and good my spare heads are being rebuilt (I believe Joe said they were like 202's or something)and then I'l be boring my engine .030 (making a 355) and stroking it for 383. Put in some new pistons and rings and then some nitrous baby. Not sure the shot yet but it'll be a fast mother****er a new cam of course, new carb and new distributer. Already have the weiand stealth intake I'm putting on it. I'l also be getting a set of headers and a new high flow cat and probably new y-pipe. I am hoping to have it done by the summer time but most likely I'll be getting it done sooner. I also have to get my SFC's installed buy a strut tower brace and get my camaro painted. hopefully I can get a set of iroc rims as well and a Z nose clip. Well, thought I'd let you know what's been going on I haven't been responding in awhile if anyone cares. Talk to ya all later!

Sounds like a real screamer John, can't wait to see and here that beast. I'm interested in the details on the 5-speed swap, maybe compare write ups between you and Bhaas.

Well from what I've been told and what I've read it's pretty much a straight bolt in you just have to buy the parts you don't have. I'm not sure if the tailshaft will fit but supposedly it's long enough so I guess we'll see. when I get ready to put it in I'll definatly let you know, take pictures, and write about my experiences. I'm thinking of getting a ignition setup that I can control with a laptop that will display a few things and so I can control my boost that way. I hope it is the screamer I am imagining.
