Hey I need some help
Yeah yeah.... I havent been posting alot latley. Sorry
I got some good news if anyone cares .... I did very well on the school exams I took. ( Physics 75% and Math 78%) so because I did so well , I got accepted into Electronics program at one of the collages up here. Also since that I did so well my mom is rewarding me with something that I need or want. So I want to get a new carb.Dont you love parents .....hehehehe I'm gooing to suck as much money as possible.
I have decieded on the Edelbrock Performer Carb but it says its for engines 1980 and older..... what would I have to change for it to work on mine.... right now I have the stock Q-Jet (Q-****) ... I think its got a electric choke ... I dont know much about carbs sorry. Would I have to change anything or would it just bolt on.... the part number is #1400.I would take pics of my car but I dont have a digital camera ...looks at Joe and Jesse. It will be another month before my car will be back. Thanks guys , oh and I'll try to post more often. One more thing .......Rich has his car running just not driveable yet.

Hey andy, long time no see! I would think it would just bolt on. Ive gotta do a Demon carbs plug here though. hehe, You outta check out the Demon 625 cfm carb. It worked great for my Z28, I to had a Electric choke Q-Jet, and it bolted right on without problems. Since our motors/cars were pretty identical, I would think you wouldnt have any problems with the Demon on there. *shrugs* If ya got any questions, look me up on ICQ or MSN.

no no... andy needs to come spend the weekend at my house sometime soon

congrats on the acceptance to the electronics program
DEMON CARB!!! hehehe joe is smaht, lol
but the Edelbrock carbs are good too... its what I gots (1407)...
Is your QJet computer controlled? Its Canadian so I dunno for sure... I don't know if it is or not, so if its not, then you already have a vacuum advance HEI distributor and you have nothing to worry about when swapping carbs...
If its computer controlled though you'll want to get a new distributor (Pertronix makes a very good one hehehe) ...
I don't have an electric choke... so umm... not much help there
