They've got new models and concepts. I'm interested in the GTO, CTS-V, SRT-10, SSR, and the C6.

The Mustang & Shelby club will be there if anyone cares. (They've got a few Pantera owners, too.) They've got some really clean original Mach 1's and a couple Bosses, which I love.

Also, apparently EFI Unlimited has a display. CrazyHawaiian, weren't/aren't you involved with that? Or am I confusing that with something else?

Anyway, be sure to check it out! Try to skip it on sunday unless you've got kids. That's childrens' day.

Yeah thats my club, but my cars not gonna be in there. My car isn't ready for shows yet, its still all bus up. Gonna have some nice Z06's and some other cars in the EFI booth. I'm gonna check it out too. Lates!

 

Ohhh...GTO and C6...always wanted to see one of those in person. From what I hear the C6 looks way better in person then in magazines.

 

Try to skip it on Sunday - that's Church day. I'll try to get down there after work on Thursday, the rest of the weekend is already tasked out and whatnot. I look forward to seeing the GTO and the C6, I read a pretty good article on the C6 in some magazine, they liked it well enough. Looked pretty good in photos, I guess they had a good cameraman...

 

OMG I saw a new GTO(it was yellow) dealer on nimitz today, it was sweet, I think i'll go by on Monday and see if I can at least sit in it.

 

Yeah, you can at least sit in them at the dealer. The one I talked to said they weren't giving any test drives at all. He said the only one they had was in the showroom, and they'd only get like 18 this year (or less) so no test drives.

What a punk, I want to feel the new GTO with IRS and stuff. I guess they won't even let you start and rev it? Anyway, doesn't sound like they'll let it go at MSRP, so I'm just going to wait until they can't get rid of 'em and then maybe I'll go see how low I can get the price.

...Then I got to get a good loan!

Anyway, maybe I'll run into a couple of you guys there. I'll probably go on Friday or Sat.

When you're there check out the orange Z06 vert. I was gonna buy those wheels for $1000 even, but had to pass it up.



Whats weird is the guy who owns that Z06 went to check out the GTO's at Nimitz and they let him take a test drive?? That salesman might be feeding you some BS man. My friend said they are a lot slower than the LS1 Camaro's and he was not impressed. I'm guessing because they weigh like 3700-3800 pounds. But hey, I'd still rock one ...

 

Chris, we have to hijack a C6 man. I'll make a diversion (fake seizures, foaming at the mouth) and you jump in and take off through the glass window gone in 60 seconds style!! Must .... drift .... C6 .....

I got to sit in the GTO, feels cramped a bit. It's definitly an LS1 under the hood, but the silly plastic 'valve cover' covers could go... Other than that, it was a'ight... I guess. I was more fond of the GXP, though, it's a Bonneville with some sort of 4.6 V8 under it. Looked real nice too. But if you're looking for exotic cars and old classics - think again, it's just the whole 2004 line-up and a few 2005 concepts. I spent most of my time by the Pontiac section...

The Viper is cool - even though I didn't sit in it. And DANG the engine is huge...

 

Did anyone sit in and check out the Caddilac CTS-V!!!? OMFG!!! I LOVE THAT CAR!!! haha...thats the msot bad *** car I've seen out of GM in a long *** time. Performance of a vette yet the looks of a VIP 4 door pimp ride. Damn....if only I had $50k sitting on the side for me to burn. haha...oh and I checked out the GT0...seemed alright...though not really much though. And where was the C6!? Bastard Chevy didn't even bring it out

 

I know isn't that messed up. For guys like me, plus all the cars having power seats, that were adjusted for guys like 5'5 maybe, I could not fit in alot of the cars.

I'll try and sit at the one at JN at least that one will have power.

Other than those dissapointments, I was overall dissapointed with the whole show. The only cars/trucks I was impressed to see/sit in were the Dodge SRT with the viper motor, and the 2005 mustang, allthoe the only thing that I did not like about it was the seat belt clips, and I think there was too much alum on the dash.
