Okay, I finally broke down and have committed to running my car at the Solo II events this Saturday. I'll be entered into the F-stock category IIRC, and hope to have fun testing my car and myself! The suspension is bone-stock except for some end links, and Aquatread tires on 15 inch rims - the STOCK GTA rims are 16's with Gatorbacks, I think.
Sounds good! How much did all that cost ya?
What are the requirements? I'm sure you need a helmet, and the basic drag race rule stuff, anything else?
How much tread is left on your tires? Might be a good excuse to upgrade. If not before the track, at least after your done rippin' up those meats!

Oh, no, the car CAME with those crummy rims and tires on it. Apparently, the previous owner thought that 15-inch tires would be way cheaper than 16's. Sorry, it's not that huge a difference. I'd like to find GTA rims here on Island, but everywhere I look, they're uber-expensive.
I know I got to have a helmet and there's a basic tech inspection to make sure my battery is bolted down good and the tires won't fall apart - basically, it's a make-sure-your-car-won't-fall-apart inspection. I'll have to stash all the loose crud in the wife's car while I run. I get four passes, so my times should go down as I learn the course.
