305 to 350 swap

does anyone know any local shops who can swap my 305TBI and put in a 350TPI and how much does that usually cost?

With all the extra fuel and wiring stuff, you might want to see how much of that you can do yourself. Because I'm guessing it'll be a lot of cash.

Good luck, and post more details.

IIRC, the two have very similar harnesses. It would be best to look at service manuals for both donor and recipient car and check the connector by the passenger kick panel...

I believe all the connectors are in the same location, as are the fuel lines. You will have to change fuel pumps though.......

HTH...

There is a post on the forums here about re-pinning the L03 harness to Speed Density TPI, definately the way to go since you can re-use the stock harness. At that point you'd need a TPI fuel pump, 730 TPI ECM, the 350 TPI motor itself (Speed Density TPI, so 90-92 TPI, earlier TPI can be converted to Speed Density), TPI throttle body, the TPI fuel hardlines, and the correct cables for throttle and kickdown, etc.

Easiest, fastest and cheapest [if you have to pay someone else to do the work] is to sell what you've got and shop for a Z28 TPI.

Doing a motor and induction swap is a lot of work and quite expensive if you have to pay someone else.

Plus, you'll get upgraded suspension, rear end and brake components.
