TTA observations

I got the insurance papers on the car yesterday so I took it out for the first time since I got it home. Drives nice. I'm a bit reserved with it becasue I still have to learn how this handles and what it's personality is, and I'm also a bit paranoid about driving it. Not too many people appeared to have noticed just what I was driving, either yesterday or today. Took it down to Pearlridge Mall, drove it with the t-tops off, just for grins, basically cruised with it, go nowhere, do nothing.

Brakes are 1LE, very nice and they grab real well. Suspension doesn't rattle as much as the GTA does, but it's still the same stiffness. Air dam in the front means I'm scraping when I go over driveway humps and such. I've yet to WOT it yet, as when I get on it about two-thirdds or so, I can hear the wastegate popping and trying to vent excessive boost, and coupled with the somewhat ragged exhaust tone, leads me to believe the exhaust is gong, or at least the catalytic convertor. I'll have to examine it and see if it's busted up or clogged.

headliner is saging but seeing it's at-top car, there isn't much to sag. Still, I see brownish dust all over the dashboard after I'm done driving it. My eyes were also bugging me when I drove. It was worse with the t-tops off, better with thm on and just the windows down. The rust on the t-top bar appears to be confined to the black painted metal plate atop the shell of the bar, is that a pain to replace?

Lights worked normally, with just one time the driver's headlight didn't want to go down. It appears to be working normally now, but I'll have to scrounge a replacement headlight control module Just In Case. Passenger fog lamp is out. Easy fix, I've yet to go get another bulb, but I will shortly.

How's everyone elses third gen(s) holding up?

I am roughly 10 days from being on the road. I am going to polish/paint my GTA rims in the morning. All is well, though I am consistently swayed from my course with temptations of T-5'S, 1LE(C4) BRAKE UPGRADES,etc.....
With any luck I will have myself driving around town soon.
