Grrrr...

My driver's side front clip is having problems. The little 'belly plate' in front of hte wheel well and under the fog light is coming apart, and now dangles from teh side skirt portion (it's all one piece of plastic) and all the front scrrew holes on it are torn up, so I can't screw it back on. I probably need a whole now front clip, as the entire clip looks like crap (badly painted and it has hairline cracks) and stuff. When I'm driving at any speeds past 15 MPH, I can hear the floppy piece smacking the ground and dragging itself all over the place. It doesn't appear that it will up and fall off, but it sounds terrible and it is really un-cool. Anone got a front clip of a white '85-n-up Trans Am I can steal bits off of?

Should be able to zip tie it as a temp fix to hold it in place while you search the yards for replacement parts. Just poke holes in it and zip tie it to something.

If the front clip on your car is anything like the plastics used on Camaro aerodynamics, it really likes fiberglass. I've had great success fixing tears and holes with epoxy resin, chopped mat and heavy glass. Just remove the clip, repair and repaint. Or, I guess buy another one if available...

I shoved it into the body and it seems to stay up there in spirited driving. The rest of the clip is sad, so I'd like to find one in better shape, eventually.
