Car Show

I went to this past weekend's car show at the Blaisdell. No third gens and a dissappointing amount of cars. The only car that caught my eye was a black '57 Chevy Bel Air 2-door hardtop. At least the $12 admission fee benefits charity.

Quite possibly the drop in quality from previous shows is a result of a decreased interest by car enthusiasists since Hawaii Raceway Park closed. Since then, I've noticed people getting rid of their race cars and a diminishing presence of car clubs. IMHO, racing facilities serve as the focal point/gathering spot for car enthusiasts even if they don't race. It's just another example of how quality of life is diminishing here on Oahu. My house for sale is now in escrow, I'm glad I'll be outta here soon...
