1988 GTA L98/Auto $750

The goods: L98/700-R4/BW 9 bolt

The bad: Rusty and someone painted this thing purple. Odometer shows 139K, but the title issued last year indicates a different mileage...and it wasnt driven... so gather your own assumptions.

I consider it a parts car, but I suppose someone could fix it up if they wanted.

I was planning on pulling the L98 and dropping it into my 87MCSS that I bought as a roller... but I'm outta time and space.

I can deliver anywhere on island at the asking price.

Rob, if nobody buys the car, would you consider parting out the rear and drive shaft, and perhaps some other small parts? My '91 ragtop could use those parts, the rear has a thumping pinion bearing... I'd like to visit your place over the weekend to be social, perhaps we could chat about it.

PM me your address, I'm staying with friends over in Pacific Palisades... Thx, Ed

Ed,

My original plans for this beast were to take the L98 out of it and drop it in my spare MCSS roller at the house. Unfortunately I dont have the time to deal with this right now...

I need to get my butt over to Maui shortly and go get me something else to play with.

Re: 1988 GTA L98/Auto $750

Maui deal didnt pan out...

Had some interested parties that ALL flaked out.. and I hooked Ed up with a rear end deal from a 4th Gen

Now, this car WILL come apart next week Monday and Tuesday. No ifs, ands or butts.

Anything NOT sold by then will go straight to the crusher. Screw it.

Karl, they will... I assume you mean strut, spindle, caliper, rotor correct?

Are you taking them off or am I? I tend to cut brake hoses (so they dont get re-used) but everything else will come off as they unbolt.

It'll have to be once the motor is out and its back on the trailer, but I'll sell them.

Call me, if I dont answer, please leave a message.

Rob

Rob -- I called Chad, we're making the deal on the 4th Gen rear for my ragtop, I'll be interested in the FB driveshaft if Chad doesn't have one. Also might want the A-arms, sway bars and some other small parts if available. LMK, ok? BTW, PM me your email address, I'll send those photos. Ed

Hey Karl...

I was planning on getting the suspension out of the car tomorrow AM.. but I'm stuck at work on a 16 hour shift... so I wont get home till 730-8am tomorrow and have to be back at 3pm and have errands to do in between.

So... for now it looks like this:

Dash and harness almost out

Not a problem Karl.

Ed, I'm done except for extracting the dash. This weekends adrenaline rush has worn off and I am officially exhausted.

Sorry I missed your call the other day. Chad also called me today to ask for your number. He has your axle on the ground in the shop.

Rob
