actually you will need the coulumn keys and vats box to do the swap right and make sure it runs, 150.00 + shipping fdr all , shipping around 15.00 , you will need the vats box, its behind the passenger side of the dash, it controls the key chip on 89 up cars

To tell you the truth, it seems that if you can get the vats box and the key it will be better for you. It seems like his is in better shape. I wish I had the key, and it seems like the dimmer switch is gone. Best of luck.

 

Let me get this straight so I dont get things screwed up. You need a Steering Column, as in the Steering wheel all the way down to the where the steering conects to the steering box?? Right, I got to know what it is your trying to do. Do you not have a steering column or what happend???

And as long as the Vats box is what controls the pass key I think I have that. I dont remember is thats the one that goes with this particular Column

You see I part third Gens out for a side hobby, I havea basement full of parts. and sometimes I get confused what I have and what I dont. I check again and get some pics to you.

 

I need from the steering wheel (I guess I forgot to mention, I need it w/an airbag too) to where it connects to the steering shaft just past the firewall. what happend to mine is where it pivots to tilt the pins are...how do I put this, for lack of a better way to say it are loose in the holes, as is the key tumbler. the guy that is doing this for me was an ase tech for 20+ years and he said he's never seen anything like it.

YES U located the Pass Key/vats box. I have the key and it is an Air Bag with Tilt Column. PM me and we can work something out. I can ship UPS from work.
