WANTED: 1982, 83?, 84? Seatbelt/warning buzzer modual

I'm looking for the seatbelt/warning buzzer modual that warns you if your seatbelt isn't buckled or if you leave your lights on when the car is turned off. It's located under the drivers side dash in the right hand side fuse block. It's a large rectangular shape and just plugs into the block.

Would one out of an 87 work?

I have no ideal...I don't even really know what it looks like other than the illustration in the shop manual. Mine was missing when I got the car. I just know it is rectangular in shape and has a bunch of prongs on the bottom that plug into the fuse block. If you can post a pic of it that would be helpful.

Thanks

Don't think that one will fit. In the picture I've seen looks a lot shorter. I could be wrong though. It also didn't look like it had openings for the sound. I'll have to find out...maybe I'll post the question in the message boards.

I'll get back with you.

Ok, according to my C amaro parts schematics, that is the alarm for doors, lights and keys. I will be more than happy to send you a pic of what I am talking about. Unless you need/ want something else different. Chris

You wanted #62. Look on the schematic parts list here and you tell me what the part number should be. That is the one I have pictured for you toward the top of this post!!

#14034321

Let me know what you want to do!!

Chris

Ok, I think that will work. You said it's from a Firebird correct? I posted a question about the buzzer and was told the Camaro and Firebird tones are different. The Camaro has a "Buzz" tone, and the Firebird makes a "Chime" sound. Also, how much do you want for it?

The schematic is for 1982-1987 F instrument panel. That should cover both the Firebird and Camaro. I did get that info from a Camaro parts list however and see no where where the Firebird's dash cluster is represented. Now, if that's the case then the same alarm would be in either car. I do see #61 listed as another alarm but do not have that one. This one came out of a Camaro so if what you are being told is true, then this one will buzz, not chime. Buzzing better than silence, maybe?

You want it? How does $10.00 shipped sound? That's about $5.80 for shipping (USPS with signature confirmation) and about $4.20 left over for the actual part?

Let me know.

Chris

if it's from the Camaro I'll have to pass. I'm trying to keep my car original and want everything to work like it did from the factory, so I'll need one that chimes.

Thanks anyway.

well, when I say stock looking I mean the interior pretty much. Anyway You'd never know it wasn't a 305 unless I told you
