Axle/Gears: 3.73; 3.42
3rd brake light
Does anybody have the 3rd brake light assembly that mounts on the top of the hatch for an 86 Z? I am missing the cover and the lens is broken so I might as well replace the whole thing. I have been told that some mounted inside and outside. The one I have is mounted on the outside.

The 86' is a one year only Brake Light that mounted directly on the top of the Rear Glass!

What happend to yours that you need a new one?? You do realize you have to have a specific Hatch to mount that 3rd Black Light.

or you might wanna try what im doing...you know those 2 caps on either side of the hatch glass in the top corners? when you take the brake light out its the same size hole, there are 2 of them and it looks great. if you search for tuneport335, he has this done and looks way better imo. if you dont care for it, i have one as well.

I am missing the cover that goes over the wiring and lens and the lens is broken also. It is the original hatch for the car.

the ones mounted on the inside are for like 90-92 i think...doesnt matter though.

you should really go through Thomas, he deals in alot of 3rd gen parts, i've personally been to his building and is a great guy to deal with. I would recomend you do business with him.

ive been freaked out on way worse for the same thing...by multiple people. just some advice. it pisses some people off a LOT.
