T-top glass question (weatherstrip)

Engine: 350 Tuned Port Injection, for now.
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: Posi - 3.23
T-top glass question (weatherstrip)

Does anyone know where or how to restore the form of the little rubber strip that runs along the outside of the T-Top glass? Thanks.

Since it usually tears away from itself, don't think resto is usually an option. But replacement is an option.

Look for A1 Tony on here - he works for A1 Auto - they sell weatherstripping (I believe he sells the Metro brand). Also SoffSeal sells them. They ain't cheap, but available.

I've also seen a few posts here where others simply removed it and didn't have a leaking problems - guess they got tired of the window catching it when closing the door but didn't have the cash for the new pieces. I'm not sure that mine actually keep any water out either, and mine also need replaced - I just haven't gotten around to doing anything about it yet.

When I did mine 2 years ago I was able to get GM replacements in the original GM bag for like $80 bucks a side. I ended up with the later model hard plastic ones that appear to be much more durable. Oh and by the way, It's only real function is as a drip rail. This peice needs to be reproed as all the originals are usually shot. Tony you listening???

I'd rather pay the extra buck to have mine look the way it's suppose to be rather than cut it off.

I'll jump in because Tony's not in quite yet. While we're working on getting the drip rails, they're not quite available to us yet. We know everyone's looking for them (myself included, my 87 TA is in serious need of a weatherstripping overhaul) and we're trying. I'll make sure to give the product guys a jab and see if there's any news yet

P.S. Jab em' in the middle of they're naval to show that we desperately need the drip rail. It makes the t-top look like BLING BLING. Unfortunately mine right now look like DOO DOO.

Trust me, I wait just as anxiously. My RS has the plastic ones that were in great shape, but my TA has the rubber ones and they are a bit worn (to put it nicely)

So, no good news quite yet on these. Still trying to work with a couple different companies, but will definitely let you guys know when I hear more.
