I am looking to put my car in the 12s, If i am going NA then a 350 but forced i will go with a 305. What would be a blower that would be me there? Are Vortech any good?

Whats up with that whole Intercooler setup on the Prochargers? how hard is that to install....It just seems like a huge PITA to install a SC, but it seems to be worth it. How long did it take for you to get your car running right with the super in there.

 

check out the thread on preston smith's turbo iroc ... has a vid link to his 3rd gen when it was supercharged ... rebuilt 305 got him into the low 9's. has a full mod list in the thread ... just go that route and you'll be in the 12's with a 305 no problem!!

 

ive searched & searched but which thread r u speaking of? a while back i found a video link but it was broken & now i cant seem to find it again.

& what about a mods list?

my 305 is ready for either a major rebuild (needs head work.. but i want more) or a 350 swap.

There is not a real modlist. No one knows what all is done to his car. I know a little and this is it. Its a 305, TPI intake, T76 turbo ad a lot of boost. It has ran high 9's before.

 

Willie, one of the thirdgen moderators runs a 12.00 305ci TPI, almost in the high 11's.

ATI procharged (supercharger) camaro with a 305. He added L98 aluminum heads.

Cool part is, he runs 19# injectors, and runs a superfueler. (Like a plate with 3 injectors, which goes between your TB and plenum, when you floor it, they turn on and provide the extra fuel).

It's a very original setup, and he has proven how good it is.

He did an awesome job on it, I have more infromation, still have a .DOC file he sent me with the build up. I don't think he would mind if i shared it with you. Shoot me an e-mail and Ill forward it to you.

 

i dont think hes a moderator but isnt it Willie?he had a supercharged 305 in the low 12's last time i heard so...

 

Last I heard he had trouble with an injector upgrade so he might not have 19#ers anymore.... but I saw him driving it today, so it must be fixed. He does have an awesome setup, but I pity him when he does the plugs.

And yes, he moderates the History board.
