Compression and blower

I am going to supercharge my 88' trans am GTA. The original compression ratio is 9.5:1 - I have bored it .30 over which would lower that number. I then put in flat top pistons , raising the ratio to a gestimate of 10.5:1. Is this too much compression for let's say an 8 to 10-psi supercharger?

compression

by u boring the motor, u have actually increased compression a tad.your compression is ok for being 10.5-1 at 8 or 10 psi.people who dumped there compression to a ridiculous 8-1 would have to run a boost of 15+psi to catch up with u. u might need a higher octane fuel (92+ octane).have fun

high octane would be required. I'm going for 14 psi with the 412 cid and 9.21:1 I'm getting the 72cc TFS 23 degrees and I may have to run a little more octane even though we are at 6000' (higher altitude=lower octane requirement)
