Think it will be safe to juice with this setup?
in june im coming into some money and i plan on putting a set of world product torquer heads on my 305, another cam (not sure what yet) and an edelbrock intake topped with a holley 600 or a street avenger 570...do you think it would be safe for me to run an edelbrock performer n2o kit maybe a 5-75 shot? i have the stock bottom end with 105k miles on my car...runs good tho
i got a 305 with a 125 shot 170,000 miles on it and havent had a problem as a result of the nitrous yet i mean i blown a few trans but the motor runs great. it went 14.9 at 95 on motor with real bad traction problems i was gonna make the next pass with the bottle but while doing a burnout i purged it and the fuel soleniod got stuck open and i thought i blew a head gasket made the pass anyway on motor and only lost two tenths realized after that.as long u maintain it i guess u won't have a problem the two most important things is fuel and timing.Do not let it run lean and for every 50 shot take two degrees of timing out.MAKE SURE THE FUEL SYSTEM IS ADEQUATE. a step colder of a plug and gap them a little smaller than what that the motor calls for i think stock is like .035 so go like 30-32 every should be fine. so have fun
fuel pump is new and everything seems to be in order but i think im gonna switch to carb before i get the n2o i dont plan on running a very big shot maybe 75 but probably just 50 thats should be all i need and i figure 50 wont be to hard on the trans and bottom end. id like to see at least 300hp someday with a 50 shot, headers, cam, intake, and carb that doesnt seem unrealistic to me and id be more than happy to see a high 13 timeslip i just want something i can take most 5.0s and 4.6 mustangs in
