Help Me Pick A SuperCharger

OK, this won't be for a couple years when college is done, but I just wanted to get an idea of what I would be looking for and how much. I was thinking of a centrifugal s/c. Not sure which to get, price, or how much boost to run.

It will be going on the motor in my signature, plus I'll have a Comp Cam, ported heads, Edelbrock RPM intake, 2500ish stall TC. If that helps any. So basically the bottom end will remain stock if I can, which means for the time being I won't be able to run too much boost I guess.

Any idea how much power I would be looking at being added?

Thanks for any input.

Mark,

Im looking into ATI or Vortechs system...

ATI looks like this.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1825719535

And the Vortech looks like this attachment...Summit carries the Vortech system for ~2300 bucks

Heres what comes in the vortech kits..

-Vortech gear driven V-1, S-Trim supercharger

-Technologically advanced impeller and housing design developed in Vortech's supercharger test cell to meet SAE std. J1723

-Cast aluminum mounting bracket with all necessary hardware

-6061-T6 billet aluminum twin mounting plates for rigid supercharger attachment

-Automatic belt tensioner with dual bearing tensioner pulley
-3.5" diameter cast aluminum discharge tube assembly with clamps, heat resistant silicon sleeves and quality stainless steel clamps

-10-rib, 6061-T6 billet aluminum supercharger crank pulley with hard anodize finish (6" diameter)

-Unique oil feed and oil drain assemblies deliver the best possible lubrication and cooling for the supercharger unit

-Cast aluminum carburetor enclosure assembly (use with 4150 Holley or Demon Carburetor)

-Enclosure features front and rear -8 fuel inlet ports as well as multiple locations for pressure/vacuum connections. Linkage arms, splined shaft, and left/right hand spherical rod ends are included for simple throttle connection and adjustment

-Optional fuel line kits are available. They include custom bent stainless steel lines, billet -8 bulkhead adapter with fuel pressure port and plug, -8/-6 junction tee, aluminum swivel hose ends and USCG approved fuel hose

Hope this helps...
