N20 on duel plane intake ???

If you are running a plate nitrous system on a duel plane intake is it better to remove the devider in the plenum for more even nitrous distribution? If so how does that effect the powerband and performance of the intake?

No, If you remove the plenum divider you'll totally screw up the manifold. You'll have a single plane with all the disadvantages and none of the advantages. It could get real ugly. A good nitrous system will be set up correctly for what your running. If your really worried about nitrous distribution get a direct port system.

That bad huh? So if I had one that was setup like that I might as well throw it out?

Depends. A lot of guys take part of the plenum divider out to get some more upper rpm power, and it works pretty well, some aftermarket manifolds are even sold that way (like the rpm air gap) I think the accepted amount is 1 inch. I'll attach a pic.
If it's all the way out, I'd junk it. If you want a single plane manifold you'll get a lot better results from something that was designed to be single plane.

Man am I pissed #&^$ EBAY FOREVER!!!!! (who am I kidding I'll be back) I should have know better! (good thing I didnt spent too much) It looks pretty much milled out but some if it seems to be there. I am going to attach a pic. Maybe I can get someone to weld in a new divider only if I can have it done for free. (I work at a college that has welding courses). I'll know more when I receive that POS.

How far is it milled out? It doesn't look that bad to me. I have the air gap on my car and it is just like the above picture. In my nitrous book it says to use a 3/8" spacer on a dual plane but since I have the air gap with the divider like it is then I didn't get a spacer. I don't think that you will have any problems with that intake.

The spacer just keeps the spray bars off the divider enough to not block the spray pattern or flow.

Well that is good new!
I will probably get the intake middle of next week. When I get it I will post a better pick and take a measurement of how much the divider is milled. Keep an eye out for a new post or I'll continue no this one. Thanks for advice

Ok got the intake. Here is a pic of the plunum. The runners are also ported, too much I think. I am attaching a pic of a set of runners too. So much is ported I am wondering if the gasket will seal ok. It also looks like they used JB Weld or some other epoxy to build the ports back up to reshape them(the dark stuff). Some of it has chipped away in spots. I am worried that if more chips off it will get sucked into the cylinder. How does the plenum look? If too much is milled out can I weld a new devider back in?

Because the devider does not get hit by the nitrous/fuel mix under normal conditions this has no affect on distribution and so it is fine to leave the devider in.

Is the intake trashed? Should I try to weld a devider back in? What about the runners? Very nice illustration by the way!

thanks! I really believe on most motors you would not even be able to tell the difference, I would just recommend not going through the trouble of removing it, and that there will be no adverse affect from leaving it in.
