Ok, so the NX bottle heater goes on/off by pressure. Does it go off line pressure or bottle pressure. Does the bottle have to be open in order for the heater to know when to come on/off??

 

It goes by bottle pressure. So you have to wire it inline BEFORE anything that closes off bottle pressure, such as NOS' remote bottle opener.

I know that NX sells their bottle opener that actually replaces the wheel on the bottle, and a motor turns to actually open and close the bottle. In this case, I dont know what NX has figured out for keeping the bottle closed AND the heater on.

 

Anybody else, i know somebody has a NX bottle heater and opener...

 

The original style transducer setup went into an inline fitting in the hose after the bottle valve fitting. The valve had to be open to apply pressure to the hose & transducer.
I heard that they were going to be making a new style bottle valve that had a place to install the transducer so that it sees bottle pressure even when the valve is closed. I don't know if it's out yet or not.

 

Ive seen a few of these valves already, there is an extension to the "burst port" extending the burst nipple away from the valve so that a pressure gauge and/or a transducer can be hooked to it, so this doesnt happen http://www.nettally.com/silly34/nitro.htm
