I looked at buying a 90 RS today and I had a question about the guys setup. The engine is a 383 crate and it has a B&M supercharger. Apparently the guy dosn't know much about the setup (his brother built the car) so its up to me to figgure out whats going on (offer him less $$!! haha). Sitting in the car I did see a boost guage and it read 10 psi when I floored it (big burnout). Also, I did not see any types of intercoolers or anything. Does anyone know what type of supercharger that might be? Or if I was looking in the engine bay where would I find the model #? What other questions should I ask? The engine has 13k miles on it. I'm sure he ran it hard but he said it only went to tracks twice since he's had it (ran a 11.7!) Any input would be appreciated. Are B&M superchargers in general good quality or crappy?

 

I have a B&M s/c, they are very popular for bot SBC and SBF..

My buddy runs like 12psi on his, we run about 8psi on ours..
No real complaints. Pully setup is kinda weird tho.
