Buick GN Turbos
I was thinking of using the Buick GN Turbos for a TT setup on my car. I found out that they're the Garrett T3 turbos. Do these have a quick spool? Do they have an integral wastegate? will they work well with a 350? I was also going to use the stock buick GN Intercoolers, anyone know the physical dimensions on these and an opinion on them? I can't find much on the TurboBuick board for the info I'm looking for and they don't much like to answer to a n00b like me. all info is appreciated.

Buick guys aren't scary ya know....
My handy dandy tape measure says the intercooler core is about 12.5 Wide by 11 Tall. Add in the tubing and some other stuff and its at least 17 by 17. Guys often run the stock intercooler into the 11's, so they work decently well.
The spool on the turbos is going to depend on the engine you're using. I've seen guys using GN turbo's on 460's, so it kinda depends. The wastegate is external to the turbo. They also use the 3 bolt flange if that does anything for you. Depending on the power you want to make you can always use the T3's from 5-speed turbocoupes with the .60/.63 AR ratio. The mustang guys are kinda fond of these, and have run into the low 10's and high 9's using them. They're the same turbos I have for my setup. Check the Junkyard turbo forum out on yahoo, theres a lot of info over there.
