pinging alot

hi may name is antoine new to board and i have a poweradder problem i have a 1988 camaro irocz28 with a .30 over350 speedpro pistons 3200stall 24pound svo injectors stock tpi hooker headers slp muffler comp cams roller cam installed 220/230dur and 510/510 lift 114 lop/seperation paxton supercharger with hi output impeller installed best time so far is 12.71 at 111 with old setup the problem is these the car pings alot now put a guage on it went on test run and perssure went up at 50psi is that normal or should pressure be more also have trickflows on it to and in installed walbro gss340m with hotwire kit to and still pings at around 3000rpm on freeway

Is that 50 psi absolute intake pressure or gauge pressure?

Just to clarify one last time.

True or False: You are running 50 psi intake manifold gauge pressure (also known as boost).

Maybe hes talking about Fuel Pressure? If you are, the 50 should be fine, if anything its on the low side for a blown motor.

That makes much more sense. Don't know why I didn't think of that right away.

You'd think 50 psi of fuel on 24 lb injectors would be enough. If it's a fuel problem the pulse widths are too small. He needs a new fuel map. If it's a spark thing then a quick fix is to retard the timing.

ok but when i am on the freeway crusing at say 65 or 70mph and i give it some throttle to abut 3000 on up part throttle it pings when warm
