Nitrous problems: Fuel pressure drops bad

I have a 92 Camaro Z28 with an NOS kit 05151 (wet plate). The problem is when I hit WOT and the system activates, my fuel pressure drops to 10 psi for a split second then goes up to about 28-29 psi. my normal fuel press. is about 40 psi at idle and 44-45 at WOT without activating the nitrous system. I installed a Holley 255 lph intank pump about a year ago, and yesterday I installed an MSD inline pump. I also bypassed the fuel filter just to see if it couldn't keep up, and nothing is fixing it. Please help.

Ok, first, is that 12.60 time with nitrous? If not please back it up with facts on how you did it or pictures. Maybe it is corrected but I think not, b/c you mention the elevation.

Anyhow, did you read your NOS directions? Pressure should drop under WOT and bottle on a stock pump. The jets supplied are calibrated for this. Now, where are you taking fuel pressure? I see that you say your fuel pressure reg seems to be working correctly. I believe you have more than enough pump. What jets do you have installed? Does it hesitate when the fuel pressure drops? How does it run on n20? What size fuel lines do you have? Does the same problem happen when you activate the the n2o system with the bottle closed?

How close is your fuel pressure sending unit/guage to your fuel selinoid(spell)? The closer it is the more of a drop you will see. Try to have atleast a foot of line, if not more, between the guage and the fuel selinoid(spell). That should give you a more accurate fuel pressure reading.

I'd like to think that since the motor didn't blow up after a huge drop (to 10psi) when you're on the bottle, that it's the fitting placement for the gauge, or the gauge itself is bad.
