How much could my 355 handle?
I'm still trying to decide what direction to take my motor. It's a 10:1 355 with forged flat top pistons. It's a given that I need to buy heads to replace my ancient fuelies, so I've been giving some thought to getting 76cc heads to drop compression in order to add a blower. I'm just not sure my motor can take it. It's a 2-bolt 355 with stock rods, and a stock crank turned 10/10. Forged slugs from a Summit rebuild kit, & moly rings. What kind of power can that rotating assembly support? I'm not looking for 100k mile reliability because I'm sure I'll build a new motor long before this motor reaches the 50k mile mark (Probably won't get to 25k), but I want it reliable for a while.

I have run 450 RWHP on that same set up for years with nitrous even.

Hey Jim,
I'm running stock (cut) crank and rods, forged TRW pistons, but I'm running a little less compression with the 72cc heads..
9:1, I run about 7lbs boost, and its working well. I'd think you could even get away with the 10:1 if you kept the fuel good, and the timing low.
