ATI Procharger

Has anyone ever used the P-1SC on a stock third gen? How long did it take you to blow the motor and how many #'s were you running? would i have to buy a forged 4340 crank just to handle the power? thanks in advance

you would have to go above what procharger is selling in the regular kits to blow your motor, even if it has alot of miles. another way to blow your motor would be to run $#IT for gas instead of premium.

I agree whith what Tom said. The off the shelf kits are designed to be put on stock motors. The manufacturers tried and tested their products and sell them to be as safe as possible to your engine.

Just buy one, bolt it up, and don't worry about a thing......except for the speeding tickets.

Car: too many ...
My 92 B4C has 90k miles on the L98. What procharger kit would you guys recommend if I want to run low 12's (assuming I had suspension, drivetrain, wheels, and tranny taken care of). What else would you recommend as far as freshening up the engine (90k miles .. wanna make sure it dosnt blow) and other mods to compliment the procharger setup (exhaust, etc). The car is completely stock right now. Sorry if these questions have been answered .. I didnt try the search button.

Saw ******* sweet Twin-Intercooled Setup. I think I would like to go that route. Do only the D-1's come in a Stage II? I only want to run 10-14 psi (assuming that will get me into the 12's) but I do want to go intercooled. I think the Self Contained setup would be easier too. What do you guys think? Also, I saw somewhere that ATI has a Blow Off Valve (Saw it in Red). Is that needed? And would it work with the Twin-Intercoolers?

Personaly I like the D1sc, that's what I'm going to be adding onto my 305 when the time comes.

Forged pistons. Exhaust and headers. You're blowing the air in, you gotta get it out the other end.

And you should know better too. :nono:

If you live in a hot climate (and I would say that you do) I would definatley go with this setup. The self contained setups are easier to install and the D1sc comes with the 3 core intercooler as standard, but as you seem to like the idea of the twins it doesn't really matter about the single intercooler.

If you wanted to use it I see no reason why it wouldn't work with the twin intercoolers. None whatsoever.

Hope this helps and keep us updated on the 4th gen interior install.

Robert

B4Ctom1 is that your car you put up? what are your 1/4 mile times on what #'s of boost? I want that system on my beast but need to research... and are you getting any overheating probs with the intercooler?
