supercharger?????
i have an 86 iroc 305tpi. iwant to get a supercharger and was wondering since i took off my a/c compressor would i be able to put a supercharger in its place instead of getting the serpentine conversion kit. if i get a serpentine water pump (since it spins the opposite direction) i figured out how to run the belt. the only v-belt is the one from the crank to the power steering pump. would this work or am i mistaken?

I really dont see how it would work, but if you got a serpentine supercharger, it only runs off its own belt, so you could leave everything else alone I think and just bolt on the serpentine pulley for the superchargeronly thing would be is trying to get the supercharger mounted where the AC was, I have a set up Im not using anymore and it had its own bracket that remounted the P/S and Alt, but I put the alt where the smog pump used to be cause I didnt like the idea of a fluid source just above an electrical source. A power steering pump sill leak sooner or later and didnt want to cause probs with it.

i had to make my own setup for my V belts but i lucked out and
found just the right parts that would work and i put the blower were the ac used to be and left all the other acceries in there stock location. i used a bracket from a chevy vortech motor
and a bracket that i had made out of stainless steel for the
blower.
you can see pics of it at
