How exactly does
the purge valve work on nitrous? Like ok, I want to get the 5150 (think that's the right one) for my car. But, I'd want the remote opener/shut off and a purge valve. How exactly does the purge work? And how is it that some people I see have one side purging and some have 2 places purging, that's how i'd want it (the 2 places purging)? I hope this isn't too confusing. I'm still reading, but after going to the track I had to ask. I just think that looks so badass.

I purge the nitrous with my foot against the throttle by toggling activation at the end of my burnout. NOS calls this "bombing" the system. They had to come out with a derogatory name for "not buying their expensive purge kit". On the street I never worried about it because unless you have a half inch thick rubber launch pad like they have at the track (we do at our “spot”) and slicks traction from the freshly purged “hit” will generally make a smoke show on launch.
all the purge kit is is a powershot solenoid mounted directly before the nitrous solenoid you are using for the system
it purges the line of any vapors and insures a "hard hit "
you can soften this hit by lengthening the line from your solenoid to the plate (i assume you will/have a plate)
the easiest way to purge is through the motor
its somewhat inconspicuous if nobodys around
jimbo
anything else let uis know
