Eaton M90 on a 4.3 S-10???
Anyone ever kick around the idea of mounting an Eaton M90 blower to a 4.3 liter S-10. They normally feed a 3.8 liter so it is not too far off. With a change to the pullies it might get 4-6psi without over working the blower and add some nice torque. Any ideas on how to fab it up or anyone ever hear of someone doing this to a 4.3 S-10

I'm just about finished with swapping one on my Malibu. Hopefully I'll have some results later in the weekend.

Thanks! I looked at some of the old post on this topic and that did help. I looked under the hood and there is like NO room in there. Maybe I could move some things to make some room. What are the dementions on that thing? How much boost could I expect? How fancy would I have to get with the fuel system? Would I just need an adjustable FMU, inline fuel pump, fuel pressure, and O/2 gauge? Could I get away with stock timing?

Boost is entirely dependant on the airflow capablilities of the engine that you have now. The better it flows as a package the less boost you’ll see. HP is almost entirely dependant on the amount of air you can force through the engine, minus a loss from the heat produced when compressing air, so if you’re pumping 500cfm at 10 or 15 psi, you’ll be making roughly the same hp based on that 500cfm.
My brother sees 9psi at 18000 blower rpm on his 306 (.030 over 302) with TFS heads and medium size cam. I suspect that a stock ford 302 would be in the 12-15psi range and your 4.3 would be in the 14-18psi range at that rpm. Of course the amount of air pumped is entirely dependant on the pulley sizes that you use and the resultant rpm.
WRT fuel, I’ve got no idea what you’ve got on that truck right now probably wouldn’t be much help with that anyway. GM efi systems prior to the LT1 setups seem to be fairly limited with dealing with a lot of boost, but a rough guess is assuming that your setup runs at a ‘normal’ pressure (say about 43, not the case if it’s a TBI) I’d probably run an inline booster pump and an FMU to start with.

If you can, swap to a 127749 ECM from a Sunbird or SyTy and use a SyTy memcal. The code $58 (SyTy) is already set up for boost with a 2 BAR MAP. The SyTy guys have hacked out this code fairly well and there is several scanning software available and Bin editors too. As far as fuel goes you could go inline or change out the intank pump. Heres some links too the scanning and editing software.
Freescan by Andy Whittaker is excellent.

Promgrammer 01 is shareware for editing the bin file. Scroll down for the download.
