Im about to buy a 9c1LO5 which has 9.6:1 compression, lt1/lt4 rods, crank, pistons...anyways would a 75hp shot be safe for along time? The motor is brand new...I wouldnt like to get some more power without touching the heads or cam just yet because i dont want to pull a brand new motor apart just yet.

I think you would be fine up to 150 with considerations towards fuel quality. 75 is definitely safe.

would a 75 shot used respectably cause premature engine failer? I know everyone says its safe but im sure the extra load has to take some milage off the engine..
