Little Improvement
Friday night at E-town! It was the largest crowd I've ever seen and frankly it's getting old! Looks like I may be heading to Island dragway or Atco from now on.
Well @ 20psi and a 2.15 60' I ran a 12.72@114mph with no boost on the line and full boost at a little before the 1/8. It seems to lag big time compared to other TTA owners I've spoken with. There is no instantaneous boost like others have. It is all gradual, full boost doesn't hit until a little before the 1/8???
Other than measuring the inducer and exducer, does anyone know how to identify a turbo? I have a Turbonetics and what seemed at first to be a 44 may be a bit larger(cheetah w/ 60 wheel or a 45). In which case the stock converter and downpipe are really restricting it. And that would explain why running through the exhaust curtails boost at 14 psi and the chip programmed for 36.5lb/hr injectors runs lean up top!!

yea when i was at etown for the mustang vs camaro/firebird there was a large crowd and it is gettin old with all the friken imports. its like everyone and there brother with a bone stone civic and a fart muffler wil race there.
turbos
try a smaller turbine.im not a big fan of turbos and even centrifugal superchargers. in drag racing the first 60 ft is a real big factor in deciding et so having lag thru out this portion of the strip really kills your time.

I wont consider a smaller turbo. I'll just have to make a 3in. dp and get a larger converter. Like I said if that is the case. I'll have to call turbonetics tomorrow to see if they can help..

Now I gotcha. Something to look at. I think it's a .63 so it should be ok.
