Will 675 hp get me deep into the 10's?

Will 675 hp get me deep into the 10's?
As my winter project I am building a 406. Here is what it will consist of:
406
victor jr intake
750 holley 3310
afr 190's or pro action's
forged probe pistons
h-beam rods
steel crank
doug herbert cam 110 lobe seperation, .567 intake and exhaust, 242 duration @ .050. This is a solid roller cam.
150 hp shot of juice.
My goal is to get deep into the 10's on juice. According to Dyno 2000 this will give me about 675 hp.
My next question is this: With a 406 should I get afr 190's or like 210's? I don't want to kill all my torque. I am also considering the Pro Action heads also.

As you can see, he went with the 210's.
With the nitrous, he was probably making around 800hp this was all on 93 octane, well i think he used higher octane on the 9.97 pass. But he did run some very low 10s that im for sure on 93 octane. So to answer your question, I think with around 700 hp you should be dipping down pretty good into the 10's especially if you can hook.

Wow, that is some good news. I will probably end up using the 210's after hearing that. Do you know what his compression is. It must be less than 11:1 if he's using 93. I will be using 3.73 gears. and a 3000 converter.

You may be able to slip into the 10's just on the motor (somewhere in the 500-550hp range). Put a 150hp nitrous shot and it will probably get you another 7-9 tenths.
I would go with the 210's, but ported out - 406's need plenty of top[-end airflow and the 210's at about 300cfm per port should do the trick.
You may want to go with a dual pattern cam - something like 240/250 or so.

Do you mean 500-550 hp at the wheels or at the flywheel? I'm talking flywheel hp. The nearest chassis dyno is about 2 hours away from me. I do know where I can dyno my engine before I put it into my car though.

I was refering to flywheel hp.
The idea is to have your builder dyno the motor before it leaces his shop. Then once you have the motor in the car, you tune it as well as u can, then take it to a chassis dyno for final tweaking.
It costs more that way, but you get every drop of hp.

well seeing how my first time to the track was also my first time with my new motor and 150 shot and slicks. i did get a best of 12.3@126. so the MPH tells me im there... 10's wise.. but i have huge traction issues that i need to work on. im also going to put the 200 shot in vs the 150. so im hopfing for atleast 625-650 rwhp and hopfully 750+rwtq with the 200 in.

GofasterFirebird... normally id have no time posting a scanned copy of the slip. but ever since i upgraded to XP pro my scanner doesnt want to work. it will power on and such, but not do anything. and after contacting the company, they said they dont/wont ahve any new updates to make that scanner work. so im stuck with a scanner that doesnt work.. ****ers. and I thought id never be the guy saying "oh i cant cause my scanner/digi camera is broke"
EDIT:
what sucks timeslip/run wise, is out of the hole the car shot off liek a rocket, but once it hit 2nd, te car bogged liek crazy till around 4000-4500 rpms, and then just rocketed again.. later found out my fuel pump went out for that breif time and i got lucky that i didnt blow the engine. so now a even bigger fuel pump has been ordered.

I was referring to AZiroc but thanks. Also, if I were you I would get the AFR 210s. I am building a 406 and wish I would have. The 190s even have good torque on a 350 so don't worry about it. Unless you find a deal on the 190s. I see no reason why you could not go 10s with either head. I am trying to!!
Also saying "150 jets" can mean many things. The sizes that people claim are 150s many times vary. I am also trying to see what fuel jet that people use with a 150.
