Wassup guys, im just doin some research for now so nothing is in stone. The motor on my l98 has around 129k on it. I am planning, no time soon, bit i do plan to build up the motor to be a nice street sweeper. Plans are as follows.

Rebuild the short block, .030 overbore
LPE cam 219? i think
Trick Flow G2's or alum l98's w/ 1.6 rr's
ported edelbrock intake
Ported slp runners/plenum
stock TB unless necessary
24 lb injectors
complete MSD setup
naturally a custom chip

Now, here is my question. This would be in the range of around 350hp? After some break in time, and wallet recovery, i plan to add a vortec supercharger. aside from another chip, what else would need to be done to the motor to add this. I understand that Vortec includes all that is needed, at least thats what they say. Is the stock fuel delivery adequit? The cooling system will be upgraded too. What else should be thought of. I am new to forced induction, so be patient.

 

If you are going to rebuild the engine with a view to supercharging down the road, put in a forged crank, rods, and pistons.

 

I've seen that camshaft with a set of AFR heads and superram go into the low 12's which I'm guessing is a 400+ hp combo. So, I'd say with some porting on the heads and some work on the TPI, 350 hp seems possible.
