Yea, I can relate. The problem is that whoever is doing the actual work is seriously **** retentive, so either he'll be working forever on it or he'll draw the line someplace and just get it done.

It's funny, I think my brother has figured out how to deal with me when I'm working on his car (and vice versa). I just focus on whatever, and for the most part use what he's done like it is. I was welding the mounting plates and main hoop for in his car yesterday, and basically told him the better he cleans it up and mates the pieces the prettier I'll make the welds... The welder he borrowed from somewhere is a complete POS lincoln (that infinite setting power **** is worthless, and the wire feed is worse then that). At one point the wire feed screwed up (it keeps changing, starting and stopping on it’s own) and I was hoping that it was only going to be for a split second but instead I just burnt a big hole through the floor… My brother looks over at what I’m swearing about and reacts with “Ohhh SHHITT…, I’d be stressed about that if I didn’t know that you were going to futz with that till it’s freaking perfect…”
