JC snapped these photos a little while ago. We finished up the passenger side header tonight.

Sweet. I think If I have to make a different set of headers I'm gonna give that a shot. I took the easy way out and made the log headers. But they weren't that easy to make now that I think about it. But they sure seem to work quite well. I just like how yours look better. But I wouldn't be using stainless. I don't have a tig welder. But I will someday. Good job.

If found it was easier if you don't weld the primary tubes into the header flange until after you've fully welded the primary tubes. It makes it alot easier to ensure a complete, high quality weld around the entire circumference of the joint since you don't have the interference from the other tubes.

 

That wont be an issue with these headers monty. All 3 ports on each side is a seperate flange. There is not one common flange that all tubes weld into. There are actually three flanges that compromise each header. Ill TIG each tube on its own, and then slide them into the collector and finish them.

We used the method you described when we did the headers on my camaro.
