Power adder dilemma
Power adder dilemma
Ok, this is my first post on this particular board.
I just aquired a Small block Weiand SUPER CHARGER and a 1970's 355ci motor worked!
that had the supercharger on it but it needs new rings and the motor needs to be put back together. I got the motor and charger for free. I want to put the blower on my 305ci motor. My 305 motor has been rebuilt and has an lt4 hot cam. The guy who built my motor says that it would hold it no problem and that the bottom end is very strong. I also have a TCI 700r4 trans with a 2400 stall converter and i know that will hold the extra horse....
My problem is would it be appropriate to put the blower on the 305 or should i rebuild the 355 and put it on that?
What would be the difference in horse power?
My car is a hardtop GTA.. would frame connectors be a good idea?
And Last Question. .. How many inch cowl hood would i need it to bbe to put the blower on?

Not to sure about the cubic inch size, but if you do use it on your 305 find out if you have forged pistons and your compression ratio. If it does work on the 305 you need to find out about your setup before slapping a blower on it, this is very important. A few guys on here run roots blowers and they should be able to help out a lot more.

if it is a 6-71 like the blower in your picture, you will need a large cowl 7" or 8" or so.
