ATTN SC and Turbo guys. opinions and insight needed

is 6 lbs boost from a non-intercooled Supercharger too much for my hyper pistons and and 9.8:1 compression? This will be a tpi setup.

I think bhass is running high compression but how high?

Also what do you guys think of FMUs and BTMs on a tpi setup. Would you just go with a 4479 ECM from a sy/ty or turbosunbird?

This would, i think, be a temporary setup until forged pistons with a lower compression ratio, intercooler, and a smaller pulley were installed.

If this isn't a nearly safe thing...let me know cause i will wait for the forged pistons.

Thanks guys.

I'm running 9psi non intercooled boost. I have a stock deck block with flat top hyper pistons and Vortec heads. I have no idea what my compression is. The compression tester says 160 psi. I can't help with TPI. Have fun.

Brad...

thanks man...i will try to get that info sorted out.

do you know anything about the pistons? Ross Pistons has a compression ratio calculator but you have to know a few things about them and your combustion chambers etc.

well i might as well get some comments on the SC itself. I was thinking a Paxton SN93 cause they are cheap but you do get what you pay for i guess. I am only considering running at most 7-8 psi boost with the right parts to do it.

Thought i could keep the boost low for reliability and maybe have a nice nitrous system for the tack...

Thoughts?
I read somewhere that someone was runnig dual eaton SCs for 800 bucks. How is my question.
