turbo & MAF, bar & MAT, turbo heat
turbo & MAF, bar & MAT, turbo heat
1) Can you use turbos on a MAF setup? I'm thinking since the MAF uses temp to measure flow, the anwser will be no, but maybe there is a way around it?
2) if you can't use MAF, can you put a 3bar MAP sensor on a TPI MAT system, and have the computer recognize it properly, or would I have to go with a cyclone/typhoon ECM?
3) Also does mounting the turbos on top of the valve covers cause any problems in regards to heat? Like would they melt the rubber valve cover gaskets?
Sorry for all the questions, i still have a great deal to learn.
TIA

1) yes
2) need speed density ecm and the additional sensors required
3) depends, the exhaust flange is closer to the gasket anyway so the heat from the top shouldn't really be a probllem if you insulate the turbos well but it's just mainly trial and error.

sup ianerie,
your best deal would be to go with a speed density setup... if you don't wanna go junkyard hunting for the right ecm you can check out FAST http://www.fuelairspark.com/ they've got lots of good ****
