how much nos can i take?

i have an 87 camaro with an LG4 164000 miles. i got a complete nos system really cheap and i was wondering how much nos i can handle and if my engine can take it or not? does anyone with an LG4 run nos? its a 50-125 shot. i plan on using a 75 or 100 shot. thanks for your advice.

say nos when referring to the kit, nitrous when referring to the stuff. I would go no more than a 50-75 shot on that motor just because i would be scared of a high mileage 305.

Does the motor have any kind of problems? Burn oil or anything like that? Honestly I dont think it is worth it for you to do yet. Put nitrous on your car when you have a respectable motor naturally aspirated. A new intake, carb, headers and full exhaust works wonders on an LG4. What are your current mods? Auto or stick?

Nitrous is GREAT at speeding up the death process of a car. If you have a small problem now.. Spray will multiple that problem down the road..

I say run it until it pops. Get a nice fuel pump, and spray the hell out of it... Don't go too crazy.. Stay under a 100 shot.

Just be ready for the rebuild. It *will* be coming.

my lg4 is pretty much stock. the parts that have needed to be replaced i replaced with the best kind of parts. but i just did a tune up and an oil change. not burning any oil or dripping any oil. i have a 700r4 in it.

my 305 had more than 175K on it the first time I sprayed it. ran 120 jets throught it lots of times, and it still purred the day I started to pull it out...

mine was injected, TBI. I don't think that would make any difference as to the amount of juice to put to it. the internals are basically the same. just do what the instructions say and you will be fine.
