Wastegate placement ideas
I was just on the phone with a guy from Turbonetics chosing my turbo.. which will be: 62-1 P-trim w/.81 ext.
Anyway. He was saying that the wastegate needs have the exhaust gases pushing against the valve. Also in order to ensure I do not get boost creep it should be plumbed into both banks. It seems to me that this could be a little tricky. I have come up with the following 2 ideas. I am not sure how much I can raise the turbo until I have it in my hot hands so we shall have to see.
What do you guys think the best option is?

you need to make sure it vents pressure FROM ALL EXHUAST PORTS equally to get the best effect from them
best idea I can really come up with is to put the wastegate after the collector and then the turbo after that

In this picture, the wastegate is the blue item. The orange block is after the "collector" so the wg is feed by all cylinders.
Would the configuration I have be acceptable for the "exaust gases pushing on the valve" as the tech guy has recomended?

this is about the opitman placeemnt from what I udnerstand
rather hten having the wastegate branch off at a 90 angle it is best to have it both the turbo and the wastegate share the same angle away from the collector
also it looks like your using a log style manifold for your turbo... not the greatest idea. works but not the greatest
that is hwy I kinda made a drawing with headers
oh and sorry I'm half asleep so the drawing looks like somethinga 1st grader could do better with
